NSW: Changed traffic conditions on the M1 Princes Motorway at Maddens Plains
Source: Transport for NSW
Heavy vehicle operators are advised of upcoming work on the M1 Princes Motorway between Helensburgh and Maddens Plains.
To reduce traffic impacts, work will be carried out at night, between 8pm and 4am from Sunday 14 December to Thursday 18 December, weather permitting.
During work hours, a southbound detour will be in place via the Princes Highway. This detour is suitable for all vehicles up to and including PBS 2A. All other heavy vehicles, including vehicles operating under a permit that do not have the detour listed, will be escorted through the work zone by traffic control, and should call UHF 13 on approach.
This detour will add up to 10 minutes to journey times.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.
Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
