TruckSafe and NHVAS

In Queensland, entry to Queensland Transport's NHVAS Maintenance is permitted to TruckSafe operators who demonstrate achievement of the relevant standards, and are audited through approved processes. The standards and audit processes for the Maintenance Management module of NHVAS and TruckSafe are aligned.  Qld TruckSafe operators require only one set of audits to satisfy both NHVAS Maintenance and TruckSafe requirements.  For Qld TruckSafe operators to be exempt from annual Heavy vehicle inspections you must be accredited to NHVAS Maintenance.

Operators must apply to Queensland Transport for entry into NHVAS and pay an entry fee plus a fee per truck and trailer.  Entry into NHVAS Maintenance is $69.35 per operator plus $23.10 per truck and $23.10 per trailer (effective 1st July 2006). The TruckSafe operator will also be required to provide a copy of current Trucksafe Audit and accreditation status.
