DigiT&L Futures - NHVR Permit Portal Training

DigiT&L Futures - NHVR Portal Training will provide support for existing workers in the transport and logistics industry (across all sectors) in Queensland, in understanding how to use the new online permit solution provided by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) - the NHVR Permit Portal.

Training will provide road transport operators with:

  • a working understanding on how to use the NHVR Permit Portal to apply for heavy vehicle permits
  • ways to improve use of the NHVR Permit Portal, reducing time for returning applications requiring additional information by the road manager or regulator
  • the ability to improve efficiency and productivity when using the NHVR Permit Portal
  • practical and scenario-based training on how to use the NHVR Permit Portal with common vehicle configurations
  • give operators not currently using the online portal to apply for permits, the opportunity to experience the full solution in a test environment before using the NHVR Permit Portal in day-to-day activities

For many road transport operators, the adoption of this technology has been a steep learning curve, requiring the move from paper-based forms to a fully online permit solution. By improving the confidence in using the online platform, it will increase the efficiency of road transport operators as well as the entire permit processing system.

This program is open to existing employees within the Transport & Logistics industry in Queensland, including Road Transport, Passenger Transport, Logistics, Maritime, Rail and Aviation.

To be eligible you are:

  • an existing worker in the Transport & Logistics industry in QLD
  • aged 15 years of age or over, and no longer at school
  • permanently residing in Queensland
  • not an employee of government departments or agencies
  • not an apprentice or trainee
