STATE FUNDING

Certificate 3 Guarantee

  • A government subsidised training place to support individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification (see the Queensland Training Subsidies List current subsidised training)
  • Participants can be jobseekers, or existing workers on full-time, part-time or casual basis
  • Level of subsidy varies based on demand and skills shortage

    • A government subsidised training place in selected certificate IV, diploma and advanced diploma level qualifications, and priority skill sets (see the Queensland Training Subsidies List current subsidised training)

        User Choice 

        • Funding is available for the delivery of accredited, entry level training to apprentices and trainees
        • Traineeships funded under User Choice include Driving and Warehousing (check the User Choice 2016 – 2017 Qualification and Price List for the most current information)

        Skilling Queenslanders for Work

        • Incentives​ are available for employers who recruit Queensland job seekers as part of the Queensland Government's Back to Work and Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiatives
        • Employers also have the opportunity to support and participate in local Skilling Queenslanders for Work training projects designed to equip job seekers with the skills, qualifications and experience needed to enter and stay in the workforce


        Back to Work

        • Back to Work is a two-year $100m package to help give employers the confidence to take on new staff in regions and provide an economic boost to regions that are facing challenging times
        • Financial support of up to $15,000 is available to businesses to take on jobseekers in regional areas with up to 8000 jobs supported through this assistance package

        FEDERAL FUNDING 

        Wage Subsidies

        Provides employers who hire eligible job seekers funding of up to $10,000 to hire, train and retain job seekers into sustainable jobs.

        Australian Apprenticeships Incentive Program

        Employers hiring Australian Apprentices may be eligible to receive incentive payments under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program.
