One in five Australians will experience a mental health condition in any given year.

It’s common, and it can happen to anyone. Take a positive step towards good mental health and book a research-driven presentation for your community organisation.

Breaking down depression

A free 40-minute presentation that is given by a trained presenter who has personal experience living with depression, or of caring for a loved one. It is suitable for anyone with or without a depression condition, helping you to boost your knowledge and get better support, while building stronger resilience and better relationships.

Topics covered

  • Causes, signs and symptoms of mental illness
  • When and where to seek help
  • Practical strategies for helping a friend or family member

Audience

Suitable for members of the general public (over the age of 18). Our volunteers have delivered this presentation in libraries, Rotary and Lions Clubs, at universities to university students, and in sports clubs.

Cost

Presentations are free.  However, fees do apply to cover volunteer travel and donations are appreciated.
