AGM GUEST SPEAKER
Peter Voorhoeve, Volvo Group Australia, President
Peter is passionate about customer satisfaction.
Peter began his career studying a Master of Industrial Engineering and Management Science at University of Technology Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Following this, he completed his National Service as an Officer in the Dutch Army before taking up a Management Trainee position at The Royal Dutch Paper Mill. After two years he left this multinational paper manufacturer and engaged – as an entrepreneur - in opening a paper recycling factory in Wallonia, Belgium.
Peter joined Volvo Group as General Manager - Volvo Action Service, at Volvo Europe Truck in 1998 and turned this call centre into a multi-brand contact centre including services for Australia. He took on the role of SCM Program Director at Volvo Parts before moving into his current position as VP Aftermarket Asia Truck Operation (ATO) in July 2011. For this function Peter was based in Beijing, China and moved later to Singapore. The senior positions Peter has held at Volvo Group have provided him with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working with multiple brands – and VGA’s success and pride in this area.
Peter lives in Brisbane with his wife Caro, daughter Louise and son Jules. Since moving to Australia in early 2014, Peter Voorhoeve has embraced the Australian way of life - combining his love for travel, literature, wine and cooking, and enjoying time with his family.
