Juanita is known for her strategic mind and her trademark style of delivering insights and advice in a manner best described as comprehensive but blunt (or full & frank). An expert in the art and science of presenting, Juanita will share her best anecdotes, strategies and insights for developing and delivering presentations capable of challenging the status quo and inspiring people towards change. For many years, Juanita has been staring down and overcoming challenges in both her personal and professional life to now having her own company and becoming Executive Director of TEDxBrisbane. Over recent years, Juanita’s appreciation and respect for the trucking industry has grown through her work with Heart of Australia.
KIM ELLIS - International Lawyer & Scientist-Astronaut Candidate
Kim Gina Ellis is from rural Victoria and is an International Lawyer & Space Research professional with a background in metals, mining and mineral processing in addition to expertise in Space Research, Technology & Law. Following her dream to fly into space, in 2020, Kim was accepted into the highly competitive and prestigious PoSSUM NASA training program in Florida in the United States. After graduation, Kim will be qualified to fly spaceflight missions for the NASA 501 astronautics research and education program. Kim’s story is a true testament to why you should challenge the naysayers and follow your chosen path with determination and confidence in your ability.

Leadership Development Workshop
Following the IWD Breakfast and to acknowledge our 10th IWD Event, we will be hosting an exclusive Leadership Development Workshop - Building your tribe through personal branding and engaging leadership techniques. This practical workshop will be facilitated by Griffith University's Business School staff and will help you along the journey of developing your personal brand. You will be exposed to leadership approaches and techniques that will enable you to build your self-confidence and self-belief in yourself as a future leader.
Numbers will be strictly limited to 50 participants.
