We are pleased to announce that Gabriel Aguilar - South East Queensland Hauliers, will be joined by Sally Stannard - Director-General Department of Transport and Mains and Claire Harrison - Managing Director Harrison Human Resources as Guest Speakers at our Diversity in Transport Breakfast.
Sally Stannard - Director-General, Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
Sally was appointed as Director-General in 2023 after acting in the role since 4 June 2023.
Sally leads TMR’s portfolio of work across road, rail, bus, cycling and marine infrastructure in Queensland. TMR has approximately 9800 staff and an annual budget of $16.3 billion, including capital expenditure of $6.2 billion and managed assets worth in excess of $127 billion.
Sally also oversees the delivery of safety, regulatory and transactional transport services for the department. This division is critical to TMR’s current and future transport system, managing the State’s regulation, marine, road safety and frontline services (including licensing and registration) for Queenslanders.
In Sally’s previous role as Deputy Director-General (Translink), she led the delivery of customer-focused passenger transport services across Queensland including policy, planning, ticketing,
contract management and customer services.
Sally is passionate about the role transport plays in equitable and sustainable economic development of our cities and regions.
In her Director-General role at TMR, Sally champions Safety, Accessibility, and Domestic and Family Violence Awareness.
Claire Harrison - Founder and Managing Director from Harrison Human Resources
Claire Harrison is the Founder and Managing Director of Harrison Human Resources, a flourishing HR consulting business that sprouted in 2009 from Claire’s passionate belief that inspiring leaders and superstar employees are the key success factor to any business.
With over 20 years’ experience, Claire has worked as a HR Director of multi-national organisations, as a Non-Executive Board Director, and a small business owner. Claire’s corporate career includes working with companies such as BHP, Westpac, Fonterra and Mayne Nickless. Claire’s last corporate position was as the National HR Manager of ABC Learning, which employed 15,000 people and Claire managed a team of 50 people across HR and payroll.
With a vision to build great places to work, Claire is accomplished in coaching and advising business owners, CEOs and Board members across Australian organisations to enhance their
workplace culture by assessing the current HR practices, developing a HR plan, and implementing a solution that increases employee engagement and productivity, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, which leads to higher business results.
Gabriel Aguilar - Sales and Marketing Manager from South East Queensland Hauliers and 2024 QTA Young Achiever of the Year (Co-winner)
Gabriel was born and grew up in Colombia. This is where he went to school and completed a university degree in business.
In 2019, at the age of 23 he moved to Australia and commenced pursuing his dream of securing a career in logistics. This is when his path crossed with South East Queensland Hauliers and he has gone from strength to strength since then.
Gabriel will share insights into coming to Australia as a young person, trying to find his feet and integrating into the community and work life away from his family. His personal and professional journey will inspire and motivate you.

Payment Terms
Invoices have a payment term of seven (7) days from the date of issue. All invoices must be settled prior to the event. Registrations received within seven (7) days of the event's commencement must be settled immediately and prior to the event taking place. Failure to make payment as required may result in the cancellation of the registration.
Refunds and Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be provided for all cancellations received in writing (email to admin@qta.com.au) at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event. Cancellations received between fourteen (14) days and seven (7) days of the event will be made at the discretion of QTA Ltd and may receive a partial refund.
No refunds will be given for any cancellations within seven (7) days of the event or for non-attendance on the day. Delegate substitutions may be made at any time.
A full refund will be provided for registration fees if an event is cancelled by QTA Ltd. Other costs incurred by delegates, including flights and accommodation, will not be covered by QTA Ltd.
