South Australia Cross Border Requirements - Effective Wednesday 29 September 2021

The following information has been provided by SARTA

 

The Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 54 Direction has been revoked and replaced by the

Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 55)(COVID-19) Direction 2021

 

 

Direction 55 (above) sees Level 3 restrictions for any *freight and logistics operator (see *note below) arriving in SA who in the 14 days prior to their arrival (but not before 17 September 2021) has been to the following Queensland LGAs only and not into NSW, ACT or VIC:

 

  • City of Brisbane
  • City of Gold Coast
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • Logan City Local Government Area

Level 3 requirements include:

  • COVID test on day 1,5,& 13 unless can produce a negative test from the past 7 days
  • If require a test on arrival, must self quarantine until negative test result is received
  • No entry into high risk settings for 14 days after arrival
  • No entry to COVID Management Plan events >1000 attendees

 

*Queensland freight and logistics operators that have been in/through NSW, ACT and/or VIC must adhere to the following Level 4 requirements:

  • Must produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before their arrival or undertake a point-of-care antigen based test and/or a COVID-19 test within 12hrs of entering the State of SA.
  • Must wear a face mask at any time that you come into contact with the public for a period of 14 days after arrival in SA.
  • Drivers who are not residents of NSW/VIC/ACT - No requirement to self-quarantine
  • Drivers who are residents of NSW/VIC/ACT - Must self-quarantine unless performing the duties, functions or activities of a commercial transport and freight service

Reminder: 
As at 12.01am on 7 October 2021: Commercial Transport and Freight Workers arriving by road must have evidence of at least one TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination.
