Wet weather and flooding - Road closures and restrictions

Update from the TMR Heavy Vehicle Unit

Intense rainfall and flash flooding are currently impacting the state, with roads and bridges closed in many areas across northern, western and central Queensland. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue during the next few days. Further flooding is possible, along with possible delays and road closures.

Please reconsider any plans for travel and delay your trip if possible.

If not possible choose your route carefully and check road conditions.

Check www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au (or call 13 19 40) for the latest traffic, travel and closures along your route.

Check Conditions of Operation Database for restrictions specific to heavy vehicle operators.

Check the Heavy Vehicle Industry page on the QLDTraffic website for wet weather heavy vehicle fact sheets and road reports.

When you travel on the roads, drive with caution and to conditions. And remember, if it's flooded, forget it!
