QTA issued the latest QTA Industrial Relations Alert (Issue 15).
In June 2015, QTA Ltd advised members that the Fair Work Commission (FWC) Full Bench handed down a decision as part of the Commission’s consideration of ‘common issues’ in the four-yearly review of Modern Awards.
The FWC Full Bench on Monday 23rd May 2016 finalised the wording of the amendments in relation to Annual Leave Clauses. The new clauses will be inserted into the 126 Modern Awards including the Road Transport & Distribution Award (RTD) and the Road Transport (Long Distance Operations) Award (RT(LDO)).
Members will be notified as soon as the Awards have been varied individually and final determinations issued by the FWC before the changes come into effect. Members are urged not to apply the Award amendments until this process is complete.
QTA Ltd will provide further advice including updated amendments as part of its Award service to members when the variations are formally ratified and inserted into the Awards by the FWC.
