NSW HML Declaration Updated

21 Apr 2020 10:45 AM | Anonymous

Commencing on 2 April 2020 the New South Wales Higher Mass Limits Declaration 2020 (No.1)   authorises the use of certain categories of heavy vehicles operating under HML on stated areas and routes and details intelligent access conditions under which these heavy vehicles can be used.

With the new declaration, vehicles operating in NSW at HML under this Notice can be enrolled in either the Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) with Transport Certification Australia (TCA), or the Intelligent Access Program (IAP) with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) under the National Telematics Framework.

The updated notice includes the ability for lower risk operators to enrol in TMA, which gives them the flexibility to use lower cost telematics to manage road access and compliance with devices already fitted to vehicles.
