CQ: Mackay - Blue Mountain Road Prospect Creek Bridge Road Open

 The Department of Transport and Main Roads advises Blue Mountain Road will reopen at Prospect Creek in both drections from 6pm 22 May 2026. 

Please be advised a 10-tonne Gross Vehicle Mass load limit is in place until 5 June 2026.

The load limit will remain in place pending the completion of bridge rehabilitation repairs, weather and site conditions permitting.

Road users are reminded to drive with caution and follow the direction of signage.

Oversize and overmass vehicles are advised to review the heavy vehicles conditions database ahead of journey.
