The Department of Transport and Main Roads advises motorists to be aware of night works on the Bruce Highway, between Lagoon Street Mackay and Simpsons Road, Bakers Creek.
Asphalt resurfacing will occur from Thursday 30 April 2026 to Sunday 31 May 2026, between 7pm – 5am, weather and site conditions permitting.
4.0m ground contact width and 6.0m total vehicle width is permissible during these works. During non-working hours the area is returned to full access.
Motorists may experience short delays and are reminded to observe all warning signs, speed restrictions and traffic control when travelling through the roadworks zone.
Oversize overmass vehicles are advised to review the heavy vehicles conditions database ahead of journey.
