The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that all vehicles operating under Over Size Over Mass (OSOM) guidelines are temporarily restricted from travelling on all state-controlled roads in the Central Highlands District (District 15) and Central District (District 6).
This comprises all state-controlled roads in the local government areas of the Central Highlands Region and Banana Shire.
Effective date: 12.00pm, 12 March 2026
End date: 12.00pm, 18 March 2026
These restrictions have been implemented to ensure the safety of all road users and to prevent further damage to the road network following recent widespread rainfall and resulting damage to road infrastructure.
The restrictions will be reviewed daily and expired if safe to do so.
