What is the Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship?
The Certificate III in Driving Operations (TLI31222) is a flexible, workplace-based apprenticeship that develops skilled, safe, and professional heavy vehicle drivers. Delivered by a qualified Registered Training Organisation (RTO), the program combines on-the-job training with formal assessment, giving drivers recognised qualifications while delivering strong financial incentives to employers.
What does the Program offer?
- 15 units of competency, contextualised to your business and fleet
- Flexible duration: up to 2 years standard, or 12–14 months for experienced drivers via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
- Practical training in safety, compliance, chain of responsibility, vehicle operations, and best-practice driving standards
- Formal qualification that enhances driver skills and career pathways
