NSW: Changed traffic conditions on Appin Rd, Cataract

Transport for NSW advises of changed traffic conditions will be in place eastbound on Appin Road for night works at Cataract.

When

Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August, between 8pm and 4am.  

What to expect 

All vehicles travelling eastbound on Appin Road will be required to detour northbound on the M1 Princes Motorway to Helensburgh to return south. This detour will add up to 20 minutes additional travel time.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route. OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.

Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
