Transport for NSW advises there are changed traffic conditions for Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicles on the Hume Highway at Marulan due to the next stage of slab replacement works.

Date of works

  • Monday 16 February to Thursday 5 March

Travel conditions

Northbound traffic will be diverted onto southbound lanes under contraflow traffic arrangements 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until work is complete.

A reduced speed limit of 80 km/h will be in place and road users should allow up to 20 minutes’ additional travel time. Weekend travel times may vary, however motorists should expect delays and allow up to 30 minutes’ additional travel time.

OSOM impacts

Over size over mass vehicles (OSOM) wider than 4.5 metres will need to use the designated pullover areas in both directions on approach to Marulan and call UHF channel 21 to arrange access through the work area.

Access to and from the Boral and Holcim quarries will be maintained in both directions at all times under the direction of traffic control.

Access to BP services in both directions at Marulan will be unaffected by this work.
