Heavy vehicle operators are advised of an upcoming closure on Mittagong Road, between Station Street and Kirkham Road.
Mittagong Road will be closed between 7pm Thursday 4 June 2026 and 5am Friday 5 June.
The light vehicle detour via Wingecarribee Street and Kirkham Road is not suitable for heavy vehicles. Heavy vehicle drivers will be required to contact traffic control using UHF channel 28 on approach to be escorted through the work area.
Drivers are advised to allow up to five minutes of additional travel time.

Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route. OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.
Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
