Work will take place over five consecutive night shifts, starting Sunday 20 September from 8pm to 5am. Work will be complete at 5am, Friday 25 September, weather permitting.
During the night work, there will be a single lane closure (westbound direction only). Heavy vehicles, including OSOM less than 3.5 metres wide will be able to get through the site.
OSOM vehicles need to contact the site manager on 0417 364 984 or radio UHF 25 on approach to confirm safe passage through the site.
Before entering the work zone at the Central Coast Highway and Brisbane Water Drive intersection, please contact the work crew and wait for confirmation that it is safe to proceed. To assist with traffic management, please notify the site manager as soon as possible, ideally before your shift, so arrangements can be made to clear equipment and materials from the roadway ahead of the OSOM movement.
Due to the narrowed road width during work hours, vehicles exceeding 3.5 metres wide will not be able to pass through the site during nightwork.
OSOM and special purpose (SPV) vehicles greater than 3.5 metres wide will be required to use the following detour: use Central Coast Highway between Gosford and Killarney Vale, Wyong Road to Tuggerah to rejoin the M1 Pacific Motorway. This detour is suitable for SPV Level 3, 4 & Level 4 & 12t vehicles.
The 57-kilometre detour will add about one additional hour to travel time.
OSOM vehicles with a load width of greater than 3.5 metres travelling under notice can use the approved routes to avoid the area as per the NHVR maps. OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination.
Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.

Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
