Transport for NSW advises of a closure of the Kamilaroi Highway at Curlewis for ARTC to carry out track maintenance on the level crossing.
From Tuesday 10 February to Wednesday 11 February 2026
The closure will be in place for all traffic between the Gap Road/Kamilaroi Highway intersection (Werris Creek) and the Oxley/Kamilaroi Highway roundabout (east of Gunnedah).
Detours will be in place via the Oxley Highway and New England Highway. Detours will add up to 50 minutes additional travel time.
Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route.
Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
