Safety improvement works are continuing on the Gore Highway, southwest of Millmerran, as part of ongoing efforts to improve safety for all road users.  

 **Key details:**

- **Location:** Gore Highway, southwest of Millmerran – southbound truck stop opposite BP Service Station, Captains Mountain (see Figure 1).
- **Commencement:** From **Monday 4th May 2026**
- **Impact:** Temporary closure of the truck stopping area
- **Duration:** Approximately **three weeks**, weather and construction conditions permitting
- **Purpose:** To construct the stopping bay to a sealed standard

Heavy vehicle drivers must make alternative arrangements while the truck stopping bay is unavailable.

Activities are subject to weather and site conditions, which may result in changes to the scheduled timeframe.
