Review of the NASWD

The Productivity Commission has been tasked with examining how well the Australian, State and Territory governments have achieved their goals for the vocational education and training (VET) system as set out in the National Agreement for Skills and Workforce Development, and the suitability of this agreement for the future.

The Commission has released an interim report and is inviting feedback via written submissions, closing Friday 17 July 2020.

Training Awards Nominations

Time to celebrate our training achievers!

Both the Queensland Training Awards 2020 and the Australian Training Awards 2020, have extended their nomination deadlines to 30 June 2020.

The Queensland Training Awards regional and state finals have been moved to an online campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Australian Training Awards are due to be held in Melbourne on 20 November 2020.

Submit your nominations now to recognise those achieving sucess in Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Small business adaption grant program

The Queensland Government has announced a range of initiatives to support the Queensland Economic Recovery Strategy, including $100 million to support small businesses via Small Business Adaption Grants of up to $10,000.

The grants are designed to assist small businesses that have been subject to closure or otherwise highly impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown restrictions, helping them adapt, sustain their operations, and build resilience.
