    DIGIT&L FUTURES (Excel Skills) will provide support for existing workers in the transport and logistics industry (across all sectors) to upskill and build knowledge and competency in understanding Microsoft Excel (different levels of training available). Training will be delivered across a number of locations by tafe Queensland.

    This course will run over 12 weeks starting 7th February 2019, excluding public and school holidays, at the Townsville Pimlico tafe campus. 

    About this course

    PRODUCE SPREADSHEETS - This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop spreadsheets through the use of spreadsheet software.

    This is an accredited unit and as such may be able to be credited towards achieving a full qualification such as Certificate III in Business.

    During this course, students will learn about formulas, charts, designing spreadsheets and layouts. It covers the following elements:

    • Select and prepare resources
    • Plan spreadsheet design
    • Create spreadsheet
    • Produce simple charts
    • Finalise spreadsheets

    What is the cost?

    • A once-off administration fee of $25/person/course is required to book your place once it is confirmed
    • The remaining course cost is fully funded under the DIGIT&L FUTURES program
    • Participant cancellations within 7 days of the course start date will result in the full course fees being charged unless otherwise authorised.

    Delivered by Karen Bow, our experienced Employment Relations Manager. this session will deliver ER and IR advice specific to the road transport sector.  Get equipped with the correct information on performance management procedures, understanding Modern Awards, casual pay rates and termination of employment processes.  Be informed by a trusted provider in the transport industrial relations area.


    Cost:

    • $100+gst/person for all sessions (full day)

    • $75+gst/person for the Telematics, Fatigue Management and Employment Relations sessions

                                        DigiT&L Futures

                                        DIGIT&L FUTURES (Excel Skills) will provide support for existing workers in the transport and logistics industry (across all sectors) to upskill and build knowledge and competency in understanding Microsoft Excel (different levels of training available).  Training will be delivered across a number of locations by TAFE Queensland.

                                        DigiT&L Futures NHVR Portal & Telematics TrainingThe DigiT&L Futures program aims to assist industries impacted by digital disruption by supporting a transition and adoption of new practices by existing workers.

                                        As part of this program, workshops are being delivered for the following projects:

                                        NHVR Permit Portal training
                                        10.30am (for a 11am start) to 2.00pm

                                        Practical training and understanding how to use the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Permit Portal.  The project will partner with the NHVR and will give participants an improved understanding on how to use the NHVR Permit Portal, increase efficiency and productivity on the Permit Portal and gain real-time practice through scenario-based training which can be implemented immediately into business.

                                        Telematics
                                        2.30pm to 4.00pm

                                        Training for operators to upskill their current workforce in new and innovative ways, manage their people, routes and fleet. It will provide road transport operators with a deeper understanding of how to use telematics in their business to drive efficiency, productivity and safety outcomes through practical training. It will provide scenario-based examples of how to apply and use telematics data to improve productivity and fleet management and give insights into future regulatory compliance requirements.

                                        Cost:

                                        • The cost is $25 per person for one session, or $40 per person for those attending both sessions

                                        Finding Flexibility in Fatigue Management

                                        This session will help find the answer to how you can effectively manage driving hours and fatigue risk in your business.   This session will breakdown the myths surrounding advanced fatigue management and guide you through the process and options available to best fit your business and the specific freight tasks in your business.

                                        Employment Relations-Managing People, Awards & Performance

                                        Delivered by Karen Bow, our experienced Employment Relations Manager. this session will deliver ER and IR advice specific to the road transport sector.  Get equipped with the correct information on performance management procedures, understanding Modern Awards, casual pay rates and termination of employment processes.  Be informed by a trusted provider in the transport industrial relations area.

                                        • $75+gst/person for the Telematics, Fatigue Management and Employment Relations sessions
