FNQ: Massey Creek bridge inspections

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be carrying out bridge inspections at Massey Creek bridge, Beatrice Way on Monday 15 December 2025 and Tuesday 16 December 2025.

The inspections are part of TMR’s regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.

For the safety of road users and maintenance crews periodic full closures of the bridge will be in place. The bridge is scheduled to be closed at the following times, weather and construction conditions permitting:

Closed 7:30am – 8:30am
Open 8:30am – 9:00am
Closed 9:00am – 10:00am
Open 10:00am – 10:30am
Closed 10:30am – 11:30am
Open 11:30am – 12:00pm
Closed 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Open 1:00pm – 1:30pm
Closed 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Open 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Closed 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Open 4:30pm onwards

Work crews will ensure emergency service vehicles are provided with access if required.

Variable Message Signs (VMSs) will be in place on the approaches to the work site to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions. Changes in dates due to poor weather will be posted on the VMS.
