Who we are
The Queensland
Trucking Association (QTA) is the principal Trucking/Road
Freight Industry Association in Queensland, with members
servicing all sectors of the urban, regional and long distance
freight industry. Founded in 1907 as the Master Carriers
Association of Queensland, the QTA actively represents members'
interests and provides a wide range of member services on state
and regional basis.
In 2007, the QTA celebrates the 100 year history of the people
and the road transport companies who assisted in the evolution
of the Queensland Road Freight Industry. |

Queensland Fuel Subsidy -
E-Petition
The Qld State Government is threatening to scrap Qld’s 8.35
cents a litre fuel subsidy in the June Budget – despite
specific assurances to the QTA Ltd and the broader community
ahead of the March election that the subsidy would be
retained.
Abandoning
the fuel subsidy would be Qlders paying an extra 8.35 cents
a litre in fuel excise, plus an extra 0.835 cents a litre in
GST.

will not accept withdrawal of the fuel subsidy complete
