FNQ: Routh Creek Bridge Repair Works & Closure

ROUTH CREEK BRIDGE REPAIR WORKS & CLOSURE
Transport and Main Roads Queensland (TMR) will carry out essential repair works on Routh Creek Bridge, Gulf Developmental Road (Georgetown – Mt Garnet) from 27 October until early December 2025.
During this time there will be a period of night works which will involve temporary FULL CLOSURE of the bridge.
Dates: Tuesday 11th AND Wednesday 12th November
Time: From 9pm-3am (subject to site and weather conditions)
For the safety of road users and maintenance crews, changed traffic conditions will be in place under the coordination of traffic controllers for the duration of the works carried out.
- TMR has arrangements in place to provide emergency access if required.

- The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
