NQ: Bohle, Townsville - Woolcock Street and Ingham Road - Type 1 Road Train Access Curfews
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads - Heavy Vehicles Unit
It has come to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) attention that long standing curfew conditions regarding Type 1 Road Train access into the Bohle area in Townsville have only recently been reflected on the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) National Network Map.
The current access reflects the route between Townsville Port and Bohle being allowed for Type 1 Road Trains between the hours of 8pm and 5am. Otherwise B Double access applies on the basis that there are traffic safety issues during periods of high traffic volumes in the Bohle area.
We are continuously monitoring, assessing and reviewing our roads, bridges and culverts across Queensland. Conditions can change quickly, particularly due to weather. Restrictions are implemented to maintain ongoing safety for all road users.
