NSW: Changed traffic conditions on Crown Street in Wollongong
Source: Transport for NSW
There will be changed traffic conditions on Crown Street in Wollongong next week to help facilitate work associated with the Wollongong Hospital redevelopment.
Crown Street will be closed between New Dapto Road and Darling Street from 3pm Thursday 25 September until 10am Friday 26 September.
While Crown Street is an approved OSOM route, the local road detour via New Dapto Road, Loftus Street and Darling Street is unsuitable for most heavy vehicles.
Heavy traffic is expected as a result of the closure, so all heavy vehicle operators are advised to avoid Crown Street and plan an alternative route.
Alternative routes in and out of Wollongong are available via Masters Road, Springhill Road and Corrimal Street to the south and Memorial Drive, Princes Highway/Flinders Street to the north.

Please note:
Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1,2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternate route.
Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
