NSW: Changed traffic conditions on the M7 Motorway between Oakhurst and Rooty Hill

There will be changed traffic conditions on the M7 Motorway between Oakhurst and Rooty Hill from 9pm Sunday 23 November to 5am Tuesday 9 December 2025 weather permitting.

All southbound lanes of the M7 Motorway will be temporarily closed between Richmond Road, Oakhurst and Woodstock Avenue, Rooty Hill on:

Sunday 23 November, Monday 24 November, Wednesday 26 November, Thursday 27 November, Sunday 30 November, Monday 1 December, Wednesday 3 December, Thursday 4 December and Monday 8 December.

Detour route

Oversize Overmass (OSOM) and Class 2 vehicles travelling under notice along the M7 Motorway in southbound direction between Richmond Road and Woodstock Avenue will be detoured via Rooty Hill Road North and Woodstock Avenue.

OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
