NSW: Changed traffic conditions on the M7 Motorway between Oakhurst and Rooty Hill

There will be changed traffic conditions on the M7 Motorway between Oakhurst and Rooty Hill from 9pm Sunday 14 December 2025 to 5am Friday 16 January 2026, weather permitting.

All northbound lanes of the M7 Motorway will be temporarily closed between Richmond Road, Oakhurst and Woodstock Avenue, Rooty Hill on:

Sunday 14 December, Monday 15 December, Wednesday 17 December, Thursday 18 December, Tuesday 6 January, Wednesday 7 January, Tuesday 13 January and Wednesday 14 January.

Detour route

Oversize Overmass (OSOM) and Class 2 vehicles travelling under notice along the M7 Motorway in northbound direction between Richmond Road and Woodstock Avenue will be detoured via Woodstock Avenue and Rooty Hill Road North.

OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
