NSW: Changed traffic conditions on the westbound on-ramp of the M5 Motorway at Moorebank

Source: Transport for NSW

There will be changed traffic conditions at the westbound on-ramp to the M5 Motorway at Moorebank Avenue, Moorebank from Monday 1 December and Friday 12 December, weather permitting.

Work will be carried out on up to four nights between 9pm and 5am, Monday to Friday.

A temporary detour will be in place during work hours directing traffic northbound on Moorebank Avenue, west on Newbridge Road, then south on the Hume Highway to access either the M5 or M7 motorways.

OSOM vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass and/or Dimension Exemption Notices can use the available detours if they are suitable for their combination. Operators are reminded that under Schedule 8 of the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), there is a requirement for the driver and operator to scope the proposed route prior to travel to ensure it is suitable for their vehicle.

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
