NSW: Changes to the NSW Load Declaration Requirements

Source: Email from Transport for NSW Freight Branch (24.10.25)

Heavy vehicle operators (Operators) are advised of upcoming changes to the NSW Load Declaration requirements which will result in changes to this Transport website Oversize and/or overmass (OSOM) vehicles and loads | Transport for NSW.

From 7 November 2025, the NSW Load Declaration form will be removed from the website and Operators will no longer be required to use this form.

A signed measurement record is still needed as a condition of access, and the recording of this information is at the discretion of each Operator.

Operators must continue to produce a signed measurement record, which must be signed by the operator, the person who took the measurements and the driver. The record must capture, the actual height, width and length of the vehicle and load together prior to the load moving and it must be presented to a police officer or an authorised officer on request.

Transport recommends Operators review their internal procedures to ensure the NSW Load Declaration form is no longer part of their road access application process.

For further information or enquiries relating to this change operators should contact NSW Police via the details below.
