NSW: Update - Changed traffic conditions on Crown Street in Wollongong

Dates for the upcoming closure of Crown Street, Wollongong have now changed.

Crown Street will be now be closed between New Dapto Road and Darling Street from 3pm Wednesday 1 October until 10am Thursday 2 October.

While Crown Street is an approved OSOM route, the local road detour via New Dapto Road, Loftus Street and Darling Street is unsuitable for most heavy vehicles.

A reminder to all heavy vehicle operators to avoid Crown Street and plan an alternative route.

Alternative routes in and out of Wollongong are available via Masters Road, Springhill Road and Corrimal Street to the south and Memorial Drive, Princes Highway/Flinders Street to the north.
