Restrictions extended on Bremer River Bridge, Warrego Hwy to 4/8/23

Following a structural inspection of the Bremer River Bridge westbound on the Warrego Highway at Karalee, temporary restrictions will be extended until 4am Friday 4 August 2023 while further investigations take place.

During these restrictions the Bremer River Bridge westbound will be reduced to a single lane each night between 9pm and 4am. We are asking that all motorists follow signage and the directions of traffic controllers.

Oversize overmass (OSOM) vehicles restriction
The Bremer River Bridge westbound remains closed to all Class 1 OSOM vehicles travelling under a permit or notice during this time.

OSOM operators will need to reschedule any planned trips while the investigation work continues.

Heavy vehicles, other than OSOM vehicles, restriction
The Bremer River Bridge westbound will be open to two lanes during daytime operations each day (excluding the 9pm to 4am restriction).

Heavy vehicles, other than OSOM vehicles, are permitted to travel across the Bremer River Bridge westbound in the left lane only, observing posted speed restrictions.

Extended traffic delays are expected, so we encourage heavy vehilce operators to allow for this when planning your journey.

We will keep you updated with further information following these investigations.
