Road Conditions SEQ: Tregony | Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap | Access temporarily closed to oversize loads (15-17 December)

The Department of Transport and Main Roads would like to advise of new dates for these works. On the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap, traffic will be reduced to a single lane for guardrail repairs from:

  • 7pm on Sunday 15 December 2024 until 5am on Monday 16 December 2024, and
  • 7pm on Monday 16 December 2024 until 5am on Tuesday 17 December 2024

Access will be temporarily closed to vehicles wider than 3.0m during these times for repair works to be undertaken within the narrow road widths at this section of the Cunningham Highway.

A reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place with traffic control for the safety of road users.

Oversize vehicles must check the Conditions of Operations Database and seek an alternative route

During these periods alternative routes should be planned accordingly.

The department encourages operators to plan alternative routes or adjust transport schedules where possible.
