SEQ: North Tivoli | Mount Crosby Road Overpass | Temporary Road Closure and Restriction
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads, Heavy Vehicles Unit (04.06.2025)
From Tuesday 3 June 2025 the Mount Crosby Road overpass at the Warrego Highway will be closed to all traffic from 8pm – 5am Sunday to Friday, for approximately 4 weeks.
This is to allow works to be undertaken on the bridge to reconfigure the lanes to allow for northbound and southbound traffic to travel on the bridge with load and speed restrictions in place.
The northbound lane will be open to traffic each morning at 5am with a load limit of 30 tonnes and speed restrictions in place. Southbound traffic will continue to be detoured.
Heavy Vehicle operators 30t and over seeking northbound travel on the overpass must seek an alternative route.
Recommended Detour
Heavy vehicle operators travelling south are recommended to travel east on Warrego Highway and use the River Road exit and re-enter the Warrego Highway to the west.
Heavy vehicle operators travelling north are recommended to enter the Warrego Highway at the roundabout prior to the overpass and travel west to the Pine Mountain Road Exit (Route 38) to travel over the Warrego Highway, before entering the Warrego Highway to the east.
TMR apologises for any inconvenience and will continue to provide updated information as it becomes available to ensure the safety of all motorists.
