SEQ: Pavement resurfacing works - Eastbound and westbound entry ramps onto the Port of Brisbane Motorway, Murarrie
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads (27.06.2025)
The Department of Transport and Main Roads will be conducting pavement resurfacing works on the eastbound and westbound entry ramps from Lytton Road and Paringa Road intersection onto the Port of Brisbane Motorway, Murarrie in early July 2025.
These works are being undertaken to improve the road surface for all users.
While the works are underway traffic detours will be in place to allow temporary ramp closures. Please follow directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
Work activities
- Removal and replacement of asphalt.
- Installation of temporary line marking.
- Installation of permanent line marking approximately six weeks after the completion of road resurfacing.
Timing
- Works are scheduled to commence early July 2025 and are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, construction and weather conditions permitting.
- Typical construction hours will be from 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday. Night works are required for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
- As a contingency, additional shifts may be necessary depending on construction and weather conditions.
- Final line marking works to improve the reflectivity and longevity of the road line marking will be applied approximately six weeks after the completion of road resurfacing to allow for adequate curing.
Expected impacts
- Temporary traffic changes including traffic detours, road shoulder and lane closures, changes to traffic flow and speed reductions.
- Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect increased noise, dust and odour. Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used for safety.
On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality. In some cases, TMR may need to do further work at the location to rectify any defects.
Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
TMR appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out.
