SEQ: Warrego Highway, Haigslea and Marburg - Road Maintenance Works

Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be undertaking maintenance works westbound on the Warrego Highway between Butlers Road and Telrader Road in November 2025.

These works are being undertaken as part of TMR's routine maintenance program to improve the road surface and enhance road safety for all road users.

Work activities

  • removal and replacement of asphalt
  • reinstatement of line marking.

Timing

  • Works will take place on Friday nights during November 2025, construction and weather conditions permitting.
  • Typical construction hours will be from 8pm to 5am. Night works are required for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
  • While most of the works will be undertaken at night, some Saturday or other out of hours works during the day may be required.

Expected impacts

  • Temporary traffic changes will be in effect including road shoulder closures, lane closures with traffic control, changes to traffic flow and speed reductions.
  • Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect increased noise, dust and odour. Reversing beepers and flashing lights are a safety requirement and will be in use during working hours.

On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality. In some cases, TMR may need to do further work at the location to rectify any defects. Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
