Wide Bay Burnett - Burnett Traffic Bridge Temporary Closures

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has authorised the temporary closure of the Burnett Traffic Bridge in Bundaberg to facilitate Ergon Energy work and to perform periodic servicing and maintenance.
The temporary full closure will take place on Sunday 14 December 2025 from 6am to 6pm.
The bridge will also be temporarily closed for night works on:
- Monday 15 December 2025, from 6pm to 6am
- Tuesday 16 December 2025, from 6pm to 6am.
Pedestrian access across the bridge will always remain available while the works are underway.
During the closure, on-road signage will be in place to assist with changed traffic conditions and to detour motorists to the Tallon Bridge.
Road users should allow additional travel time while the closure is in place. Up-to-date information will be available from the QLDTraffic website (www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au) or the QLDTraffic app (available from your app site).
