Wide Bay Region: Asphalt resurfacing works on the Burnett Highway (Monto)
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will soon be undertaking road asphalt resurfacing works on the Burnett Highway at the Rayleigh Street and Lister Street intersection, the Monto rail overpass, and at the Cunningham Street and Eyre Street intersection in Monto.
Works will commence from November 2025 and are expected to take about one month to complete, weather and other conditions permitting.
The resurfacing works will be undertaken at night to minimise disruption to motorists, as traffic volumes are lower.
Night works will generally be undertaken between 6pm and 6am from Sunday to Thursday.
Please refer to the flyer for additional project details.
Up-to-date information about traffic disruptions and site specific timeframes for roadworks will be published on www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au or the QLDTraffic app.
