Wide Bay Region: Bundaberg - New Years Eve Road Closure Advice

For the information of emergency services, transport services, neighbouring residents and local businesses, Council wishes to advise that to safely deliver the 2025 New Year’s Eve Fireworks event at ANZAC Park on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, the following road and access closures will be in place:
- Quay Street Carparks from Maryborough St to Targo St CLOSED from 1:00pm Wednesday 31st December until 1:30am Thursday 1st January 2026.
- Quay Street from Maryborough St to Targo St CLOSED from 3:00pm Wednesday 31st December until 1:30am Thursday 1st January 2026.
- The Burnett Traffic Bridge at both ends from the Quay Street and Perry Street intersections CLOSED to all public vehicles from 6:00pm Wednesday 31st December until 1:30am Thursday 1st January 2026.
Burnett Traffic Bridge – Pedestrian walkway and footbridge CLOSED 6:00pm Wednesday 31st December until 1:30am Thursday 1st January 2026.
Pedestrian access only will be permitted on the Burnett Traffic Bridge between 8:30pm and 11:30pm on Wednesday, 31 December 2025 and between 12:30am and 1:30am Thursday 1st January 2026

Fireworks Displays: To be held at 8:00pm and Midnight
Location: ANZAC Park
During the closure, traffic controllers will be in attendance at Quay Street, Targo Street and Perry Streets to provide detour signage and information for the public including bridge closure signage will be in place 7 days prior.
