Q&A: Applying COVID lessons to future safety strategies

Employers have been urged to learn from, persist with and improve on the safety strategies they implemented for the COVID-19 pandemic, and warned against reverting to past practices that will alienate workers in the post-COVID era. In this Q&A with OHS Alert, Lindall West, the managing director of workplace ombudsman service Ombpoint, says employers should rigorously review their business continuity plans and look to improve their communication and consultation processes.
