    SEEKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - training date and venue will be scheduled when minimum numbers are reached for the session.

    The DigiT&L Futures program aims to assist industries impacted by digital disruption by supporting a transition and adoption of new practices by existing workers.

    As part of this program, workshops are being delivered for the following projects:

    NHVR Permit Portal training
    This 3hr session will offer practical training and understanding how to use the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Permit Portal, increasing your efficiency and productivity when applying for permits.  Real-time practice will be provided using scenario-based training. 


    Maximising the Use of Telematics
    This session will provide you with a deeper understanding of WHY and HOW to maximise the use of telematics in your business to drive efficiency, productivity and safety outcomes.  This will include how to apply and use telematics data to improve productivity and fleet management through case studies and offer ways to use telematics to increase your customer base.

    Cost:

    • The cost is $50 +gst per person

    DigiTL Futures - Excel Training

    The DigiT&L Futures Excel Training program provides support for existing workers in the transport and logistics industry (across all sectors) to upskill and build knowledge and competency in understanding Microsoft Excel. 

    We are currently looking at training options in the Central Queensland areas of Gladstone, Mackay and Rockhampton and would like to determine the interest for this training in each area. Please submit your details here to register your interest in participating in Excel Training. 

    Am I eligible?

    This program is open to existing employees within the Transport & Logistics industry, including Road Transport, Passenger Transport, Logistics, Maritime, Rail and Aviation.

    Please note, industry funding only allows participation in one Excel training course per person.

    Heavy Vehicle Safety Around Ports - Health Assessments

    As part of the Heavy Vehicle Safety Around Ports project, all businesses within the Port of Brisbane precinct have the opportunity to receive free preventative health assessments for their workforce. QTA, Port of Brisbane & NHVR are excited to be partnering with Heart of Australia to provide this cutting-edge employee health screening service.

    A Heart of Australia preventative health assessment takes just 20 minutes and involves a short online questionnaire followed by a minimally-invasive physical assessment and finger-prick blood test with a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse will set up on-site at your depot / office and can complete up to 30 health assessments per day. Sessions can be run either as a half day or full day, depending on your participant numbers.

    Sessions will be booked for either the week starting Monday 16th September or Monday 14th October. Please indicate your preference when registering your interest.

    During the assessment, participants will have their health assessed across the following areas:

    • Physical: Blood Pressure, Body Composition, Respiratory Function, Risk of Diabetes, Lipid Profile, Liver Function, Kidney Function;
    • Lifestyle: Nutrition, Movement & Fitness, Sleep, Alcohol, Smoking;
    • Psychological: Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Social Health, Motivation.

    This health screening is a convenient way to provide your employees with comprehensive and confidential insights into their physical and mental health. Participants receive a 20-page report that has been individually reviewed by a GP and contains a range of personalised recommendations. It outlines the greatest risks to their health, and provides clear, actionable steps to address these risks.

    SPACES ARE LIMITED - BE QUICK TO REGISTER!

    To be involved you need:

    • a minimum of 10 participating employees for a half day session (maximum 15 participants) or a minimum 20 participating employees for a full day session (maximum 30 participants).
    • to provide a discreet room with table, 2 chairs and access to a power point.
