CWNW: Tanby Rd, Yeppoon Roadworks Notice

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that from Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 July 2026, a section of Tanby Road (Road ID: 197) will be closed between Rockhampton–Yeppoon Road and Taranganba Road to facilitate the installation of a shared pedestrian and cyclist bridge on Tanby Road.

What to expect
A temporary detour for heavy vehicles (up to 25/26 metre B-Doubles) will be available via Rockhampton–Yeppoon Road, Scenic Highway and Taranganba Road between 11pm on Saturday 11 July 2026 and 6pm on Sunday 12 July 2026.
Heavy vehicle operators are reminded to follow detour signage when travelling this detour route.
Oversize vehicles requiring movement through the section are requested to delay travel until the roadworks are completed and the road is reopened.
Operators must also refer to QLDTraffic to remain up-to-date on road conditions.
