Road Conditions (30 March, 2026)

Source: TRC

Toowoomba Regional Council advises they will be upgrading a section of Clifton Road under the Clifton Road Reconstruction Project.

The upgrade will include widening the existing roadway to 8 metres, pavement reconstruction and associated drainage improvement works. Once completed the upgraded road will provide safer and more reliable access for all road users including local residents, agricultural and heavy vehicle operators.

When

The works are scheduled to commence 7 April 2026 and continue though to December 2026, weather permitting.

To allow works to be completed in the shortest possible timeframe and to minimise disruption to the community, a full road closure will be in place on Clifton Rd between Leslie Bridge Rd and Volker Rd intersections from 15 April 2026 through to the completion of the works in December 2026.

What to expect

Through traffic will be detoured via Pittwsorth Felton Rd and Toowoomba Karara Rd.

Works taking place Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm.
