DDSW: Condamine River Bridge, Leichhardt Hwy, Condamine Daytime works

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises of bridge inspections taking place on the Leichhardt Highway 26C (Miles to Goondiwindi) on the Condamine River Bridge (Id 15566) approximately 1km west of Condamine, as part of ongoing efforts to improve safety for all road users.

When

  •  From Monday 10th August 2026 to Tuesday 15th September 2026 

Key details 

  • Location: Condamine River Bridge, Leichhardt Highway (26C Miles to Goondiwindi) at Condamine
  • Duration: From Monday 10th August 2026 to Tuesday 15th September 2026
  • Impact: Single lane closures and reduced speed limit (40 km/h) in both directions between Monday – Sunday 6:30am to 4:30pm. Outside work hours: speed reduced to 60 km/h. There will be short delays between 5 - 20 minutes.

Due to roadworks, width restrictions apply. Loads with a ground contact width greater than 3.2m and/or a load width greater than 3.2m (Figure 1) are required to contact the roadworks supervisor 24hr prior to arriving on site. Restrictions apply from 6:30am to 4:30pm
