The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that on Sunday 31 May 2026 to Monday 1 June 2026, Asphalt resurfacing is occurring on at the intersection of Temples Lane, and Bruce Highway (10G), Bakers Creek, approximately 9km south of Mackay.

Between Sunday 31 May 2026 to Monday 1 June 2026 from 7.00pm – 5.00am
What to expect
During works hours, all vehicles 5 metres width or wider and/or greater than 5.5m height travelling through the intersection of Temples Lane, and Bruce Highway (10G), Bakers Creek, are required to give 24 hours’ notice to project managers.

Failure to meet these conditions may result in delays to access through the worksite during working hours.
Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicles can travel outside of working hours as per normal.
