MWFWB: Bruce Hwy asphalt resurfacing works south of Buxton

Road Conditions (15 June, 2026)

Source: DTMR - Heavy Vehicles Unit

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises they will soon undertake asphalt resurfacing works on the Bruce Highway, south of Buxton, on both ends of the Isis River Bridge.

The work includes undertaking pavement repairs before placing a new asphalt surface layer on road sections to waterproof the pavement and provide long-lasting, smoother travel conditions.

When

The works are expected to commence from early June 2026 and take approximately three weeks to complete, weather and other conditions permitting.

To minimise disruptions and inconvenience to the general public, work will be undertaken at night between 8pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday. The works will be delivered progressively, with the highway returned to a trafficable condition each morning to ensure normal road operations during the day.
