The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has advised of an upcoming overnight closure of the Bruce Highway between Lavarack Barracks and Deeragun for routine cleaning works.
When
The Bruce Highway between Lavarack Barracks and Deeragun will be closed to all traffic, excluding emergency service vehicles:
Works are scheduled at night when traffic volumes are lower and are subject to weather and construction conditions.
What to expect
During the works, road users can expect:
- Full road closures between Lavarack Barracks and Deeragun
- Diversions in place, with alternative routes required
- Traffic controllers onsite to direct traffic
- Variable message signs on approaches to the work area
- Additional travel time
Motorists are advised to allow extra time, follow the directions of traffic controllers and adhere to all changed traffic conditions.
If works are unable to proceed due to wet weather or unforeseen circumstances, they will be rescheduled to the next available shift.
